Our aim at Les Contamines Holidays is to allow you to enjoy our beautiful village of Les Contamines Montjoie and all its activities, from the comfort of one of our luxury self-catered chalets or well appointed apartments. Our portfolio consists of properties to suit all sizes of groups and budgets and we also offer a complete ski pack service including ski hire (discounted) and lesson reservation. We offer airport transfers for those who prefer not to hire a car, catering (in - chalet or delivery), child minding and more.
Les Contamines Montjoie is a traditional alpine resort located at the end of a beautiful valley. Just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Geneva and with excellent road and rail access, it is the perfect location for your winter or summer holiday.
Our charming village has one of the most enviable snowfall records in the Alps. The north facing slopes are perfect for all abilities and most importantly the 125km of well maintained pistes remain quiet and uncrowded throughout the ski season. For snow boarders there is a snow park (championship level) and a half-pipe. Cross-country skiers are also well catered for. There are two nursery slopes in the village. The local ski pass is linked to the town of Hauteluce and the “Evasion Mont Blanc” pass covers another 420km of skiing in St Gervais, Megeve and Combloux. Other resorts to try are Chamonix, Les Houches, Argentiere and Courmayeur in Italy (30mins). Other winter activities in Les
Contamines are snowmobile rides, dog sledding, snowshoeing and ice-skating. The ski school has plenty of English speaking instructors.
In the summer the resort is transformed into a walkers and bikers paradise. Situated on the Tour du Mont Blanc long distance trail, Les Contamines is a haven for walkers and mountaineers aiming for Mont Blanc or one of the lower peaks. The main ski lifts operate in the summer, allowing mountain bikers and walkers access to the higher slopes. Other summer activities include a leisure park with high ropes courses, swimming lake, pedaloes, tennis courts, children’s playground, horse riding and rock climbing.
Chamonix, Mégève and St Gervais are all within 10 to 30 minutes’ drive for skiing and summer activities. The historic towns of Annecy and Geneva are approximately 1 hour away for days out. Les Contamines has a good range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars to choose from.
